Heart Dance is singing and dancing in different ways. Sometimes it`s easy, sometimes it´s a big deal to get it right and to keep the speed. You will learn the technique of Whirling, it`s a strong experience and a wonderful kind of meditation.

You can learn a lot about yourself. Heart Dance is the best way to get out of your mind into your heart. To dance while singing let the lyrics sink deeper, it becomes manifest in every single cell. Probably it will transform you, surely you will take something with you in your daily life, possibly joy, love, peace and power. A song in your mind and upon your lips for sure.

Heart Dance is singing and dancing from my heart to the heart of another, and to the heart of the universe. In Heart Dance, we sing simple melodies everyone can learn, with beautiful uplifting texts. By singing together as a group, sometimes with different voices, or toward another person, we give and receive love. And it’s even more fun when you can dance to what you are singing, so we do that! With dances and gestures, we emphasize that which we express in singing or just play and be silly and have a lot of fun!! J

What was the high point of the Weekend for you?

The whole weekend was a highlight - I cannot decide for a special moment, highlight...

Whirling (drehen)

The Whirling:  it was the first time I could not just accept but love my inner perfectionist and inner "impossible-maker" as they appeared. I felt beloved, light and free. And at the end the feeling of falling upwards was indescribable. A gentle landing - fall in Nothing, the feeling to be at home. Stillness. Peace.

It is just impossible to describe the joy that expands inside of me, when I manage to let go in whirling and to trust and feel, that I am actually whirled. And that all the things in the outside world don’t matter so much anymore. I am just here, and all is well!

What made you decide to participate in the weekend?

It`s the fourth time in four years. The first time in 2012, I was curious to learn the sufi-meditation Whirling, because a long time ago I saw me in several night-dreams as a Dervish. Every time I thought of sufi dancing I got a goose bumps. Whirling was -and is every time- a very deep experience. Just as singing, dancing, celebrating life, it also takes me back to that what is.

What have you brought from the seminar into your daily life?

Deep peace and a wide open space in my heart. Acceptance and love towards situations and persons that would annoy me to other times. Love and astonishment towards my own being including my body with all its marks.

What for you was the highlight of the weekend?

The Whirling, it was the first time I could not just accept but love my inner perfectionist and inner "impossible-maker“ as they appeared. I felt beloved, light and free. And at the end the feeling of falling upwards was indescribable. A gentle landing -fall in Nothing, the feeling to be at home. Stillness. Peace.

What did you like the most?

I love the moments of melting with everybody, with everything and being aware of God. The moment when the wave drowning in the ocean. That happens to me especially at certain songs and dances (Shema Israel, I dance in your light, now your in my heart…) and during the Zikr.
